Advisory Council
The Advisory Council supports the strategic quality and long-term integrity of Altair Media’s work. It provides high-level guidance and ethical oversight without exercising editorial control.
Role of the Council
The Advisory Council may:
- Offer strategic advice on emerging themes and long-term priorities
- Safeguard alignment with the public interest
- Review governance frameworks and ethical standards
- Support connections with academia, policy and industry across regions
The Advisory Council does not:
- Approve or edit publications
- Influence research conclusions
- Represent Altair Media publicly unless explicitly invited
Composition
The Council consists of independent experts in areas such as:
- Artificial intelligence and computer science
- Geopolitics and international relations
- Defence, security and resilience
- Ethics, philosophy and societal impact
- Innovation and research policy
Expertise reflects diverse regional perspectives, including Asia and Europe.
Members are announced upon appointment. Until then, the Council operates in a founding phase.
Annual Advisory Note
The Council may publish an annual advisory note outlining key trends, risks and opportunities shaping global and regional innovation landscapes. These notes are advisory and do not determine editorial direction.
These governance principles apply across all Altair Media editions and regions.
